HANDMATIC E100: High-Performance Ready-Mix Mortar for Reliable Surface Applications
WOLF Construction Chemicals introduces HANDMATIC E100, a cement-based, ready-to-use mortar developed to meet the demands of modern construction projects. Designed for easy application with a trowel, the product offers both efficiency and durability across a wide range of surfaces.
One of the key advantages of HANDMATIC E100 is its ability to retain water within the plaster for an extended period. This feature helps prevent rapid surface drying and significantly reduces the risk of capillary cracks. In addition, the product provides strong resistance to moisture, ensuring long-lasting performance even in challenging conditions.
HANDMATIC E100 is suitable for application on various surfaces including brick, exposed concrete, pumice blocks, and briquettes. However, it is not recommended for previously plastered, painted, acrylic-coated, or unstable surfaces. For optimal results, the product should be applied in layers not exceeding 25 mm at a time, with multiple layers required for thicker applications.
Proper surface preparation is essential before application. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, and loose particles. For fair-face concrete surfaces, the use of a concrete primer is recommended to enhance adhesion.
The mixing process is straightforward: for each 25 kg bag, 5–6 liters of water are added, and the mixture is blended using a mechanical mixer for at least three minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Once prepared, the mortar should be applied with a steel trowel, with each layer allowed to dry before the next is applied. The final finish can be completed using a sponge float.
Application conditions play a critical role in achieving the best results. The product should be used within a temperature range of +5°C to +30°C. After application, surfaces must be cured by sprinkling water for 2–3 days to ensure proper setting. It should not be applied on frozen surfaces or under extreme weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong winds, or excessive heat.
With an average consumption rate of 15 kg per square meter for a 10 mm thickness, HANDMATIC E100 offers both performance and efficiency. The product has a shelf life of up to three months when stored in a dry environment on pallets, with stacking limited to a maximum of eight bags.
Technically, HANDMATIC E100 is composed of inert minerals, synthetic additives, and special cement, delivering a grey-colored mortar with a gross wet density of up to 1750 kg/m³. It provides a working time of approximately two hours and an open time of 10 minutes under standard conditions (+23°C and 50% relative humidity).
